......Is funny if you know where I got that from.
._. ANYWAYS
I'm having a bit of a dilemma with my room here, and every time I try to clean I find some way pf procrastination... Well, this is what happens to most people with ADD/HD I guess.
It just happens here and there at random times, I drop whatever I'm doing and procrastinate my heart out. X.X I wish I could just get it clean.
and you don't even NEED to see my room to telll that it's messy, just think of a small enclosed space full of computer junk. should help.
OTHER NEWS~
-------------
I'm beta-testing DOSIRCD, an IRCd for MS-DOS run atop the NTCPDRV TCP stack (Which needs to die in a fire ffs) and also about to beta-test Chase, an MS-DOS E-mail client which now has SMTP support as of this posting! :D
But it cannot send to SSL-encrypted mailboxes... YET. I have yet to hear from the big cheese on how thats going to be set up. either way, check ti all out at
Rubbermallet.org.
Other things to note is that I hooked up a SCSI card into my HP yesterday with a used 40GB drive. had problems so i downgraded it to an 80MB (Yes, EIGHTY MEGABYTES) SCSI drive I found in a Mac Classic II a while back. Seems to be working fine and runs cool. (Note to self: get a fan to keep it cool in the case)
NOT ONLY THAT, but I seemed to have blown out my gigabit hub, meaning I can't have a 10/100 network upstairs anymore. Instead I've moved to a 10Mbps Full Duplex hub made by Soho which slowed down the network a TAD, but it's still usable and doesn't lag anything up, thank God. AND WITH the blowing out of the hub, I also managed to scorch the pins right off a Generic SMC Ethernet PCI card in my Athlon 800 computer, which made the card unusable. So I took that out and replaced it with ANOTHER SMC card circa 1994, an SMC EtherEZ 8416 ISA (PnP Disabled) with BNC Coax, AUI and an RJ-45 port. took a little configuring but Windows 2000 accepts it fine and it runs beautifully on my downgraded upstairs network. As for my other machines, they'll just have to live with it.
I'm also currently in the process of building myself an MS-DOS Machine for my testing instead of using my 486 laptop or my Win95 Laptop for the testing. that way I can use them and use MS-DOS at the same time :P
The Specs are as follows:
-Pentium 200MMX Processor
-40MB EDO RAM
-Some Random Tseng Labs ISA VGA card with 1MB Vram on it
-The OTHER SMC EtherEZ 8416, this one with BNC Coaz and RJ-45 only
-a Hard drive in the range of 40 to 420MB
it's still in the works but for the most part is fine for now.
I"ll have to continue this later, I need to get to work. THIS ENTRY COUNTS AS PROCRASTINATION!
